Overview
There are 2 types of Chief Talents:
- War Talents (WAR)
- Economy Talents (ECO)
Walk-through
General information
When you get enough experience to level up your Chief, it will give you a certain amount of Talent Points, that could be allocated into 2 different trees – one providing a boost to your troops (WAR) and other boosting your growth speed (ECO). Please note your stamina will be fully refreshed once you levelled up, so make sure you’re using that to your advantage (i.e. levelling up only during events like Hunting the Hunter or Infected Cleanup).
Points used LATER in the tree will give more bonus than points used in an earlier tier. For example:
- First Tool Improvement talent provides you with a 0,5% construction speed bonus and you can level it up 3 times getting 1.5% total bonus.
- Next (further in the tree) Tool Improvement talent will provide not only higher bonus (1.5%), but also more levels (5) to increase, resulting in a 7,5% total bonus.
So don’t fill up the lower tiers with your extra points. Focus on the higher tier stuff instead.
Eco Talents
- Get Rapid Development talent as soon as possible.
- Farming vs Gathering: Starting out ignore the farm talents and go with the gathering ones. Mainly because you shouldn’t even bother wasting resources on the farms and focus on other buildings and what farms produce is pretty much useless at any level.
Then once you get to HQ Lvl. 27+, when gas/metal upgrade requirements are quite high, switch to farm food and wood talents and gathering gas/metal talents. This allows you to get some sort of benefit from the farms because you’ll probably have to focus on sending all your rallies out to collect gas/metal. You’ll generally be using your backpack resources for food and wood. - Hospital Capacity vs Healing Speed: the hospital bonus is negligible (i.e. 1k extra at 80k capacity) while the healing means you can heal 1400 troops instead of 1000 during the same time period. As result, invest into speed and ignore capacity.
War Talents
- Your main focus should be pushing to Massive March and Instant Recall.
- Attack vs Lethality: since Lethality only indicates percentage of the troops you might kill, focus on Attack. More damage – more wounded troops in your enemy defense or higher score for the Influencer Trap (since you can’t kill anyone during a single attack).
- Focus on Hunter bonuses when given the choice: due to hunters being the main damage dealers (i.e. to Influencer Trap). Consider reshuffling to Infantry bonuses while fighting for Capitol or Fortresses, if situation requires.
When to switch between WAR and ECO talents?
You can reset your talents and switch between trees as many times as you like, you won’t lose any points. You kind of have to do that, depending on the situation:
- For PvP events (Fortress Fight, Capitol Clash, Reservoir Raid, when you raid enemy settlement for resources) – allocate all your points into WAR;
- For PvE events (Influencer Trap, Infected Horde, Plague Zone) – allocate all your points into WAR;
- For event days, when you need to train more troops (Survival of the Fittest etc.) – you may switch into WAR for Training Capacity increase;
- For the rest of time, switch back to ECO – it provides you building, researching and farming boosts. Also, you can switch into ECO when you have a lot of troops wounded and would like to heal them quicker (Kill Event, Capitol Clash etc.)
How to switch between WAR and ECO talents?
You can buy Talent Point Reset via

hi bro any link or exact input of points to put for WAR and ECO?
hey Veejay, I usually put ECO talents into healing speed and resources gathering while WAR points are focused on the type of the content I’m into (i.e. Hunter’s attack for Trap and Infantry health for PvP like Reservoir Raid or Bunkers).
Hi, for attack vs lethality our leader always say go for the bottom row which is lethality. But you say attack. So confused which to use?
hey Sam, it depends on the activity you’re into: in some cases you prioritize attack, in others – lethality.
Lethality is good for being attacked and attack is for attacking others. Think of it like if you’re planning to deal offence, then go for attack and if you’re defending, go for Lethality.
During CC, I change talents about 25-30 times
This is the only helpful piece of information I’ve been able to find on talent builds. Every so called “guide” just lists all of the talents, which is not even remotely helpful.
I stopped getting talent points after my chief level maxes out, how can i get points to finish the trees
